Barneytile is a large island on the planet of Volcanus, the largest on the planet. It is known for being home to the planet's most populous countries, Pedia and Homia. Harry Smith has described its name as "beyond stupid, to the point it's not even funny".
Etymology[]
Barneytile is Anglicized from the Old Barneytilian барнә тӣл (Barnä tīl), meaning "Island of fruit". In modern Pedian, it would be "бернӣ тырӯ" (Bernī tyrū) and in modern Homian, it would be "Варуна тал" (Varuna tal).
